Roof Inspections

Per the State Standards of Practice for a roof inspection, we visually inspect the roofing materials and describe them in our report.  We also inspect flashing, roof drainage systems, skylights, chimneys, plumbing stacks, and other roof penetrations.  Our report contains our methods used to inspect the roof.

We are not required to inspect antennas, solar panels, or other installed roof accessories.  We also are not required to inspect the interiors of plumbing stacks, vent systems, chimneys and flues that are not readily accessible.

Please keep in mind, we don’t make specific estimates about the remaining life expectancy of roofing materials as these can fluctuate greatly based on the quality of roof materials, sun exposure, wind exposure, exposure to biological materials, adequate attic ventilation, etc…
